* GP Prelims was today. Did an essay on Terrorism (opportunities for Bush-bashing aplenty). GP Compre passages were about the debate between Science & Religion. Heaven sent? (In my case at least lah) Not sure. I thought I did my best but it sure feels like something F'ed up somewhere..
* Note to self - Next time warm up with some stretches & simple exercise beforehand to get blood flowing to brains. * Got scratched by a cat on my left index finger when I was @ SPCA just now, got slightly cut. Was worried about infection, luckily the wounds have pretty much healed. Now, the more important concern is how my wounded hand may affect my bouldering session later. * The old white cat with some grey patches is not at the public areas of the SPCA anymore. It had one eye missing. Nobody will want it, and it probably has already been put to sleep. When I get my own job & home, that is the sort of pet I will adopt. * Saw a poster at the bus stop advertising a "Yellow Ribbon Project". This project promotes 3 A s: # Create Awareness of giving second chances to ex-offenders. # Generate Acceptance of ex-offenders and their families into the community. # Inspire community Action to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders. (Source: http://www.yellowribbon.org.sg/goals.html) Personally, I think if we as a society don't give ex-offenders a chance to return to normal work+rest+play lifestyle, we forget that as people we are all prone to mistakes. Go check it out - http://www.yellowribbon.org.sg (by the way, props to the people @ Kaki Bukit Centre who made the site) ------ Part II of 04th Sept await. |
