Singapore's really a small place. Was standing-stoning on the MRT this Thursday and in pops William. (Electrico/Typewriter)

ME: O_O Ehhhhh! Sup' man!

We chatted abit then he got off.

Then today when I was on my way to Cafe Cosmo to catch Serenaide I saw someone wearing a Great Spy Experiment t-shirt.

"Wait. Isn't he from the band?"

Song's real cool to chat with. He even helped out with directions and shortcuts to the place before we parted ways.

Its definitely more healthy to see them as regular people that you can approach rather than the insane-fans-idolising-overrated-stars pattern that pop culture fosters on people.

Its quite a special gig tonight. True, there's no ultraspectacular multi band line-up, the venue's a wee bit hard for travelling. But Cafe Cosmo's a secret gem tucked in a corner of the CBD (they're ending operations soon unfortunately) and Serenaide's been inactive for about 8 months.

Its quite fitting that the mood at the place was not of mourning but of celebration. Go out like a supernova I say, bright and beautiful. My funeral's definitely going to be a gig ;D
