Met with Edmund in the morning for some gym, headed down to town afterwards. Had my footprints cover every inch of the entire Kino outlet @ Taka. Finally decided to pick up Jonathan Safran Foer's Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close for the second time, first occasion was baaah. Ernest Hemmingway got left on the shelf, sorry bro. Got the usual weekend cup of Espresso Fraps without whipped cream again, shuffled through the waves of people and the insane crowd. Set the entire world on mute with my headphones over the ears and blasting loud.. Walked past two aggitated ladies gesturing wildly at each other yelling out the lyrics to Blink 182's "Feeling This". =) Got squished like a sardine into the train carriage, right in front of me this couple engaged in a chronic case of PDA. Nope, no high-fives, no "whoa..." or "duuuude". The girl was not my type, trust me. All I wanted in the world at that point was to move somewhere else, get a seat to get some time-killing reading going maybe, and I get stuck being some kind of unwanted third-party in a weird mass rapid transport 3 person triangle tier. I didn't feel loved and definitely NOT aroused. At one point one of them even grabbed my butt by mistake. I felt so used. Got the F' out the train at my stop and headed home. Oh for a quiet time with bed and a cup of tea. |
