Gone out for this. I'll let you know how the bands were later ;) --- [update: 22-01-06 1:37am] Yep, its confirmed. I'm a true blue bona fide B-Quartet fan as of today. Man.. I haven't been this excited about a local band's sound/performance for a long time. B-Quartet's technical expertises (sound man, laptop, etc) helped them add an additional atmospheric layer to their sound, but what was really incredible was the intensity of their set. I don't know what to say about the lead singer Faizal - The shabby look and the jittery figgity stage movements (SK commented that the guy forgot his medication), but he really put effort into putting out a show; everything can thus be excused as part and parcel of artistic expression. If you close your eyes and focus on the vocals and the pure beauty of the sound and the moment, it just brings you to the edge.. how do I describe it- throes of emotional intensity on the edge of reason. Before I get any groupie-er I will shut up now. ;) |
