If grammatical gender was more common aspect in the English language, Opportunity is female for sure. Trust me I know. And she does not knock only once, (no doors around to be seen anyways, my head would cause me pain) she prefers to situate herself to be conveniently seen and approached, and twice. I should have carpe diem'ed, but I don't really mean the whole seizing bit, too violent. A quick chat and a little dance would be much better. What did I do? Asked her whether she got maltreated by the evil security guy. She nodded with a pout and I gave her head a sympathetic pat, gave myself a 360º twirl, and when I looked back - girl in white was gone. If you think male pattern baldness is men's worst scourge, wait till you hear about male pattern blindness. And yes this is my long-winded self-pitiful indulgent A-R-G-H. After this entry I'm gonna hit the sack and sleep it off. Damn. |
